Master of Arts in Communications – Research Track
Studies in the research program for a Master of Arts in the Department of Communications aim to expand the academic and empirical knowledge in communication, along with specialization in a research topic. The program includes interdisciplinary observation of various communication-related phenomena, and includes research of media content, effects of mass media, popular culture, interpersonal and linguistic communication, the ties between communication and politics, and more. Courses are concentrated into one day of the week.
Master of Arts with specialization in Strategic Communication and Public Relations
The M.A. program (without thesis) in Strategic Communication and Public Relations is intended for those with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, who are interested in acquiring tools and knowledge in public relations and strategic communication. The study program focuses on strategic communication, changing stands and impression management, social networks, media relations, strategic and crisis public relations, and it is intended for those interested in learning about promoting commercial companies and organizations, non-profit organizations, government ministries, local authorities, community relations, political parties, tourist sites, cultural events, sports, propaganda and public diplomacy, and more. The program enables a practicum and includes an actual project for a client. Courses are concentrated into one day of the week over one calendar year.
The Master of Arts in the Department of Communications has both a thesis and a non-thesis track.
Admission Requirements
Bachelor of Arts – For the research track (with thesis): a grade point average of 85; for the specialization track: a grade point average of 80.
