About
The Ph.D. program aims to train outstanding political science researchers in all the different areas of this field. Students will conduct independent research under their advisor’s guidance while interacting with other students from the School, the university, and around the country. Ph.D. students can specialize in one of the following fields: international relations, public administration and policy, government and political theory. Students can receive joint advisement from lecturers in disciplines outside the school and interact with researchers from inside and outside the school and learn from their experience.
The Ph.D. program puts an emphasis on excellence and quality and seeks to give graduates a competitive edge so they can fulfill the requirements and achieve the outcomes called for by the immense changes in the discipline and the complex global reality of the 21st century.

Employment
Employment opportunities for Ph.D. graduates: The program equips students with the tools needed to influence Israeli politics and the education to examine and analyze how politics affect processes in the country. The degree opens up employment opportunities in many different directions, fields, and institutions: as Knesset members, diplomats, politicians, mayors, local council leaders, in the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in journalism, in the media, as teachers, and as researchers. This degree is also a stepping stone to positions in international organizations involved in political system analysis, as well as to various administrative civil service roles, academic research, and teaching.
