Studies in the Department of Jewish History combine both Jewish History and Jewish Philosophy. This unique combination allows the department to offer flexible, varied, and innovative programs on Jewish history and Jewish philosophy from biblical times to the present.

Through their study of Jewish history, students will also learn about many varied faces of human culture. Jewish history cannot be separated from the history, culture, society, and religion of the nations in whose midst Jews lived, nor can we fully understand the history of these nations without examining how Jews contributed to these cultures and epochs.

Bachelor of Arts in History or another related field, with a grade point average of 76 for the non-research track, and a grade point average of 80 for the research track
