About
The Ph.D. program in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies welcomes students who seek to specialize and study in-depth the subfields of geography and environmental studies.
The program invites applications from candidates holding a Master of Arts with a written thesis from a recognized university, who have an overall minimum grade average of 87 and a minimum thesis grade of 86. Students who have completed a Master of Arts without writing a thesis, may register for the Pre-Research Program (see below). While enrolled in the Pre-Research Program, participants are not considered doctoral students (all applicants are invited to have an interview with the Admissions Committee).
The Doctoral Committee will decide which supplementary courses must be taken by students who did not previously study geography at an undergraduate or graduate level.
